Rainbow buildings

We took the train to Clark Quay and walked to Excelsior hotel for the buffet lunch.

On the way, we had to pass by the MICA building, which is home to the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA).

The building is really unique in that it was painted in various bright colour. Like a rainbow.

The shop houses of Clark Quay are similarly themed. In bright colours of the rainbow.

Raffles Hotel

It has been a while since I visited Raffles hotel. In fact, mostly I just walked past the hotel on the way to somewhere else.

Yesterday was a perfect opportunity to explore. My sister and mother were late for lunch. I did not want to wait inside the restaurant, so I took a quick stroll around, snapping some photos.

The hotel is so old class and colonial. I can almost see the British loitering around, enjoying their cuppa tea, while enjoying the day, a hundred years ago. Time seems to be frozen in certain parts of the hotel.
