Donuts from the Donuts Factory

I knew SO was coming back from Suntec. I knew that there is a Donut Factory located there. I have always wanted to try the donuts from Donuts Factory but was too lazy to cart back a dozen.

So I smsed SO to ask him to buy a dozen. All with chocolate please, I told him.

donuts01
Frankly, I am not really a fan of donuts. Ever since I found out that donuts are nothing but deep fried dough! I always thought they were oven made, till I saw them being deep fried! From then on, I just became uninterested in donuts.

I just wanted to try these. Some months back, people were willing to queue for 2-3 hours just for a box.

Now? There is no queue! The hype has died off.

Frankly, I dun find these donuts any special or different from other donuts from other donuts shop. They are simply too sweet. I would not queue even 15 mins for these.

I feel tooth decay coming on.

Once is enough.

Love is

Saw this on an episode of "Close to Home".
Touching but kinda of mushy.

It is also commonly used as wedding vows.

1 Corinthians (NRSV)

Love is patient;
love is kind;
love is not envious or boastful
or arrogant or rude.

It does not insist on its own way;
it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice in wrongdoing,
but rejoices in the truth.

It bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.

Love never ends.
But as for prophecies,
they will come to an end;
as for tongues,
they will cease;
as for knowledge,
it will come to an end.

For we know only in part,
and we prophesy only in part;
But when the complete comes,
the partial will come to an end.

When I was a child,
I spoke like a child,
I thought like a child,
I reasoned like a child;
when I became an adult,
I put an end to childish ways.

For now we see in a mirror, dimly,
but then we will see face to face.
Now I know only in part;
then I will know fully,
even as I have been fully known.

And now faith, hope, and love abide,
these three;
and the greatest of these is love.

Singapore Garden Festival 2008 Part 2

The following photos were those taken from the level 4 of Suntec. What I can say about this level is that the lighting was brighter and there was a different feel to it.

Level 6 lighting was darker and there was a more surreal feel. Here in level 4, it could best be described as orchids galore. There were orchid everywhere....from prize/awards winning orchids to orchids arrangements. There were arrangements from schools, institutions, societies, associations, communities, companies etc. However, I personally felt the works displayed here were more amateurish as compared to those theme gardens in level 6. Maybe cos the budgets is lower?

The SGF was held over one weekend this year as compared to last year, cos SO said last year the duration was longer (2 weekends) and hence they had to spend more money to replace the plants and greenery.

Some of the plants/greenery have to be changed everyday, and others on alternative days. You dun think they used the same stuff for the whole of the duration, do you?
